Fabrics

We carry an enormous range of fabrics, created from natural, manufactured, and synthetic fibers. Here are a few basic definitions of those fibers:

Cotton- Made from vegetable fiber and adaptable to a wide variety of purposes, cotton is strong, absorbent, and easily washed/dyed.

Wool- Made from the hair of various animals, including sheep, llamas, camels, and goats, wool is very resilient, warm, and resists wrinkling.

Linen- Made from the flax plant, linen is considered the strongest of the vegetable fibers. It's very washable, wrinkles easily, and is highly absorbent.

Silk- Made from the cocoon of a species of caterpillars, silk is very strong, absorbent, and has a brilliant sheen. All silk comes from Asia, primarily China, and it is considered one of the finest textiles.
